Where it began
In the spring of 2016 I returned home after a two month apprenticeship with Casey Sussman founder of Mars Cycles (@marscycles). I enrolled in class at Kingsborough Community College. A student adviser suggested I take Introduction to Computing. She changed my life.
The first generation Integrated Bike Light. I drilled a 1/2 hole in a pair of steel handlebars and brazed a plumbers nipple in place. The lens was salvaged from an old bike light and enclosed by a brass compression fitting. The LED was powered by an Adafruit Trinket. It featured an on/off switch in one bar end and a function button on the other. It still works.
