The Integrated Bike Light (IBL) Project launched on Kickstarter in March of 2019. It was the culmination of 4 years of dedication and passion-driven work. The project never received full funding and remains in beta. The intended purpose was to provide consumers with elegantly designed high powered aluminum bike lights.
The systems power supply is a 3,400mAh USB rechargeable Nitecore battery stored in an Electrical Top Cap (ETC). The top cap installs into a 1-1/8thβ bicycle steer tube and features a button for light functionality. The lights are connected to the ETC via specially designed Hi-Visibility Conductive Tape. This tape increases the profile visibility of a ride in addition to its electrical properties. The lights are mounted to the bicycles dropouts through the wheels quick-release skewers.
